The following two sets of pictures where taken at the
Sikorsky Memorial Airport in Stratford, Connecticut.


The first set is the Corsair that was donated by the El Salvador
Air Force in 1969 and was restored as a memorial to honor
those who built the Corsair at the Vought plant on the other side of the airport.



























The hard to read details on the tail are;
on the left read "F4U-1A"
on the right read "MARINES" and under that is "13086


In this set is a F4U-4 Corsair that returned from the Honduras Air Force
in 1980 and was restored to fly again. The number of the Corsair is 612.
The Serial Number is 97288
and the Certificate Issue Date 06/05/1980.
Assigned/Registered as N4907M.
