Scotland
Tour 1999
On
20 July 1999 my wife, Mary and I left Connecticut for Greenock, Scotland arriving
on 21 July 1999 at the Glasgow airport we took the car, and drove to the house
in Greenock where we stayed for the next four weeks (and some eight hundred
pictures of Scotland later).
Some of the pictures will be put on the Scotland Tour Web Site, over the next
months. Some of the places we visited were Greenock, Dunoon, Holy Loch, Gourock,
Edinburgh, Glasgow.
When we went to the Highlands we visited, Glencoe, Inverness, Fort William,
Dingwall, Loch Broom, Ullapool, Strathmore, Strathcarron, Attadale, Plockton.
While in the Highlands we visited the Isle of Skye, and there we stayed in
Kyleakin.
From there we visited, Portree, Uig Bay, Mac Lode Castle, Eilean Donan Castle
(one of the most photographed castle in Scotland, so they say).
Just too much to list, but we stayed there for three day, and we tried to
see it all.
Then we went to England, and France, to see what they had to show us. There
in England we saw London, Canterbury, Kent, Dover, Folkestone, Hastings.
Then over or should I say under the English Channel to France, in France we
visited Calais, and other near by towns that I don't recall the names of.
