A.C.T. SUMMER PROGRAM 2002
The A.C.T. (Activities Coordinating Team) Program is sponsored by the West
Haven Youth & Family Service, West Haven Drug & Alcohol Task Force
and West Haven Police Department (Crime Prevention Unit). The program is a
series of all day field trips for West Haven students in grades 5 through
8 (ages 11-15) during the months of July and August. The goal of the program
is to provide positive experience to young people through the summer months.
Cost of the program varies with trip. Trips are scheduled to such locations
as: 6 Flags New England Amusement Park, Lake Compounce Amusement Park, Lake
Quassy Amusement Park, Lake McDonough (swimming & boating), Activity Day
(roller skating at Skate Tyme in Monroe, CT & Bowling at Amity Bowling
Lanes), Tubing on the Farmington River (Satan’s Kingdom Recreational
Area) and an end of the year picnic. New and different trips are scheduled
each year. Registration takes place in the month of May (call YFS office at
937-3633 for details).
